SUPPORT IEL

Anita returned to IEL in December 2004 to work at IEL’s front desk and provide research and administrative assistance across all program areas.  In her previous stint at IEL, Anita served as the Research Associate in the Center for Demographic Policy.  She left IEL to work at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in the Federal Sector.  While at CSC, she served as a Project Manager/Account Executive on HUD and Department of Education contracts.    

Anita holds a Masters degree in public administration from the University of Delaware, and a B.A. in sociology from Bethune Cookman University (formerly College).  She is the co-founder and manager of a small non-profit organization in northeast Washington, DC, providing mentoring programs, adult education classes, and job training to low-income and disadvantaged residents of the DC Metropolitan Area.
