The Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) at the University of Indianapolis is excited to serve as the site for the Indiana Education Policy Fellowship Program (IN EPFP) which will open in the fall of 2008.  The 2008-2009 cohort group, consisting of 12–15 Fellows from across multiple sectors, including education, government and business, will focus on fiscal, legislative, administrative, and technological issues. The ten (10) month program will consist of four hour monthly seminars, the annual Indiana Legislative Conference, and the two national conferences.  The program will kick off with a one day opening retreat in September.  To support and enhance collaboration, networking, and communication skills, the Fellows will participate on learning teams, comprised of 3–4 members, based on their interest and expertise. Each cohort of IN EPFP fellows will complete a project which highlights their learning and provides support to Indiana. The Fellows end their program will a celebration of their learning and work in June.

While the specific topics for the 2008 – 2009 seminars are presently being developed, the monthly seminars will provide opportunities for Fellows to gain insight into key policy issues, best practices used by leaders, necessary leadership skills and qualities to advance organizations, as well as interactions with decisions-makers, academic experts, noted authorities, and state leaders from various policy arenas through a dual agenda lens of educational equity and excellence.  Recruitment for the new program began in late March.

Please contact the Indiana EPFP future site Coordinators for further information about the site and plans for 2008-2009:
