Annual Education Meetings and Conferences

Monthly AERA/IEL Education Policy Forum/Luncheon Discussions:

The forum series runs October-June and are held at a NEW LOCATION (after almost two decades on Capital Hill):  The Sumner School (Museum and Archives),  1201 – 17th Street, N.W. (corner of 17th & M Sts.).  The past year's guests included: Tom Carroll, President, NCTAF; Lydia Logan, Executive Director, Institute for a Competitive Workforce, U.S. Chamber of Commerce (on indicators of educational effectiveness); Rolf Blank, Director of Education Indicators Programs, Council of Chief State School Officers (on growth models); and Mary Hatwood Futrell, Dean, Graduate School of Education and Human Development, The George Washington University, and Richard A. Flanary, Director, Office of Professional Devel­opment Services, National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) on teacher leadership.   The schedule for Oct.
