Danzberger Lecture Series
8th Annual Jacqueline P. Danzberger Memorial Lecture
This event, originally co-sponsored by the National School Boards Association (NSBA) and the Institute for Educational Leadership, is usually conducted at the NSBA's annual convention. The series was established in 2001 in memory of Jacqueline P. Danzberger, a long-time member of IEL's staff. Danzberger’s long-term endeavors related to education governance and reform continues to inspire school leaders, and each year's featured lecturer is a prominent figure dedicated to improving the education and development of all children and youth.
The 2008 JPD Lecturer will be John Merrow, Education Correspondent, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, and President of Learning Matters, Inc. The event will be held April 9, 2008 4:00-6:00 pm, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Washington, DC, and is sponsored by IEL and SchoolNet® , with the continued support of donors to the Jacqueline P. Danzberger Fund. Read the program for this year’s Lecture.
